This book is excellent. I hated to put it down. When I got almost to the end there was a 2008 photo of Al Brown and I recognized him. I could have been knocked over with a feather. I knew Al some 16 to 20 years ago and several states ago. The book teaches history, both personal history and global history. It includes a real insight into the heart of a combat infantryman. I totally enjoyed it and highly recommend it.Product details

My Comrades and Me eBook Al Brown Reviews
Great first hand account of World War II. Thank Al Brown for your personal insight and for your service to our nation.
Al Brown's personal chronicle is special example of the life of a young 3rd Infantry Division soldier in WWII. Al's story is an honest and realistic depiction of the daily life of a citizen soldier of that historic event. Al is straight-forward in this personal history, as he is in real life. I am grateful that I was able to obtain this book and add it to my collection of WWII personal histories. I am even more grateful that I have been able to communicate with Al in the last year or so. This story is a 'must have'.

Good book written by a friend of mine, lot of info on World War 2. Will recommend it to my friends.
Outstanding!
Interesting stories. I had family in WWII and have heard stories. They fought hard and they played hard
I really could not put it down, and it was the fastest Read I ever read !
It's a well written chronicled first-hand story of a soldier who lands at the southern shores of Italy and has to combat the Nazis hand-to-hand literally up through Italy, into France, and lastly into Germany itself. Like other brave solders who helped win the war, he factually tells of each event he and his comrades had to endure to accomplish the tasks at hand. Leonard Rattini
